The Baltimore Hip Hop Council is a unified collective of independent musicians, writers, producers, promoters and artists committed to community development through community based events, seminars, fundraisers, charity, scholarships, education and entertainment.
LITERACY “USING THE ARTS TO CREATE A POSITIVE SPARK” The Baltimore Hip Hop Council understands that literacy is a major component when it comes to our children’s future as well as overall growth and success. Our literacy component is comprised of comprehensive workshops where we use Hip Hop to attack this current hindrance to many young people’s mental and social development. Students are giving reading assignments which are in turn put into rhyme and actually performed to music. This process motivates young people to address any overall literacy issues but more importantly to strengthen their comprehensive skills through this entertaining yet educational process. SEE MORE... SPECIALIZED WORKSHOPS Our goal is to eliminate common misconceptions which can be responsible for hindering a person’s growth and ultimately their personal success. We offer our clients constructive, informative and entertaining workshops that leave participates both motivated and inspired to conquer their fears of success and new beginnings. The positive feedback has been overwhelming and has enabled participates to address their personal weaknesses in order to move forward with more productive strategies, leading to more successful outcomes. All this made possible by truly embracing the simple yet monumental concepts while utilizing a tool that already ready influences the world; HIP HOP! SEE MORE... | YOUTH MENTORSHIP As artists we are blessed to have more leverage when it comes to influencing today’s youth. We aim to change the typical negative media image depicted of Hip Hop by utilizing the arts and culture to reach youth through mentorship and personal development. Using this influence we will address and hopefully eliminate the countless misconceptions which are responsible for hindering a person’s personal growth and ultimately their personal success. We offer constructive, informative and entertaining workshops that leave participants both motivated and inspired to conquer their fears of success and new beginnings. Workshops are conducted via; organized seminars, school assemblies, discussion groups, one on ones, rallies and community events. SEE MORE... COMMUNITY CLEAN UP Our Community Clean Up component is currently organized four times a year covering East, West, North and South Baltimore. The Baltimore Hip Hop Council will set an example to our communities and residents by participating in the general up keeping and cleanliness of our communities and neighborhoods. Community Clean Ups focus on tackling the sanitation issues in Baltimore while motivating and inspiring residents to take more pride in the cleanliness of their communities resulting in increased property value and overall community self esteem.
